Answer me this question...If I was not willing to lie to make a dream come true, and I also was willing to give up the dream completely if my coming to China meant not being with you, then what does that tell you about how I view honesty and integrity? This woman whose voice is so beautiful that I could listen to it forever? I should be upset that you think so poorly of me, but I cannot be upset with you. I do not care to be treated as a king, only as a person. I do not expect to be revered or honored just because I am from America, but because of something I have done to earn such respect, otherwise it is a shallow honor.
It is true, I am different from other men you have met and will meet. I have learned what it is like to lose everything, and learned what is truly important in life. It is not the fancy car or house or jewelry, that means nothing. The true wealth comes from sharing a heart with someone and being held by another person whom you adore.
