dear john,

yes, i want to share my views and opinions with you all along. but many times i doubt if they are right. im just such a common and humble chinese. of course, i feel so delighted that china is a beautiful country which makes you be charmed. however, im also afraid china itself is as good as you imagined. therere still a lot of poor people and places.

of course, i understand a little about current situationeconomical crisis in usa from the reports of TV or other medias. but we cant deny the usa is still the most developed country with the most advanced technologies. i have watched the super products demonstrations of the amway (from usa) company. they look so magical and wonderful! such as the amway cookers, dishwashing detergent,etc. oh, if my english is not a barrier, ill express myself to you how i feel these products from usa vividly. they are too developed and pro-environmental. (of course, a set of amway cookers is too expensive, worth almost 1000 dollar. most of chinese cant afford it yet.)

oh, as i have told you before, im always interested in MLM culture and system. i love MLM culture, it is because of MLM that i have the great chance to see the first-class patented products around the world and keep in touch the warm and enthusiastic chinese persons.

ive ever written a poem, one of whose sentence is ????????????????. oh, i dont know how i should translate it into english properly. from the surface, you can translate " the tiny, tiny, common chinese people starts to have a big, big ,wonderful chance/opportunity to dream of embracing and entering the whole world. because the arrival of MLM culture and system, the economical globalization is happening. it means every common, even poor chinese people can be engaged in the foreign trading, i.e. selling our products to foreign countries very easily and freely. at the same time, the foreign people can also sell their products to china directly.

especially for me, i need the MLM chance so much. because if i can speak english well, i can have gotten the high-salary job earlier. ill be not so poor as now. in china, just a few people have a good command of english, because therere a great difference between english language/culture and chinese language/culture. its also the reason the china is in great need of english teacher. although i want to tell you what the traditional chinese culture is, im afraid i have not this ability. oh, maybe we can say the chinese people often pay attention to their own families very much. (the asian women are often educated to be meek, passive) carrying the family line is especially important. and most of traditional chinese look down on the business, they admire officials with the political power and scholars (just as well-educated, learned person as you) so, you see, youll be very popular and welcome in china i assure.

of course, in south china, influenced by developed western countries including usa deeply, the business culture prevails. the amway (chinese branch) office just lies in guangzhou city, the south china. so it is said a few chinese big cities are as developed and prosperous as the big cities of usa.

you dont ever have to worry about whether your views are right or not, they are your views. there is no right or wrong, it is how you see things. that is freedom of the mind and it is the most important freedom there is. that is why when one government tries to take control of a country, the first thing they try to control is the media. they start to tell stories in a way to get people to think a certain way. that is happening here in the usa right now. when george bush was president, the media would have a story on him every day showing a mistake he made, now that barack obama is president, the media doesnt say anything about him, though he has made numerous mistakes. but i am not going into that right now. we will share our views together.

what i want to do, by making your express your views, is to make you start to think like an american does. if you want to learn the language, and get into the american MLM, then you should also start to think like an american. to americans, personal opinions are important. the fact that you can speak your mind, state your view, have your own thoughts - ones that dont necessarily agree with others - are what seperates each person from the other. if the people who started amway didnt think for themself, they would have stayed in the business they were in and amway would never have started. also, if people didnt have their own opinions, ones that dont agree with the way the business is run, then the business would stop growing. a business needs to change with the times and the only way to do that is to speak up or listen to different opinions. the buddhists will tell you, the only thing that stays the same is that things change. so by you telling me what you think, you are taking steps to help you reach your goal.

i watched the videos. i have seen news stories about shanghai and beijing. they are truly beautiful, but i am a man who likes simple. i would love to see the mogao caves and lhasa or bhutan. dont get me wrong, i would live near a city, but would stay towards the outer parts so that i can go to the country easily.

you mention the amway cookers for $1000. most americans cant afford that. the majority of americans look for cheap prices every day because they struggle to pay their bills and cant afford the extravagant things like that. please dont let amway make you think that people run out to buy their products, they dont. most americans see amway and they dont care for them. they ha

ve gotten a reputation of taking advantage of people. the people who get rich with amway or herbalife or any other MLM are the ones who are at the top, who get the people to join, because they get a percentage of the profit from their sales, so if you have 100 people under you, you make money by them working. also, if they get people to join, then you both make money from them. for this reason, many of their products are overpriced.

i understand the way the chinese woman is raised and taught to be passive, quiet, and obedient. i also understand the importance of the family. i believe that this is part of what i admire about china. not that i am interested in a person who will do what i say, because i would much rather be with a woman who has her own mind, but that i am passive, quiet, and obedient. i find most american women to be too loud, aggressive, demanding, and most of all, they are out for themself and dont care if you kill yourself trying to please them. i would love to find a woman who i can be myself with and she be herself, and we both be of the same personality.

its the first time that i find our views are so different. i understand its caused by the different backgrounds and experiences. you said you love to see the mogao caves or lhasa,etc. pitifully i dont like them. i always dream of owning a wealthy life which you have gone through before. and i have no marriage life and children. i dont also pay attention to so-called family.

because im always single, i need the MLM big family very much. i feel that most of americans misunderstand the MLM industry just like most of chinese people. it seems the MLM is an unpopular thing around the world. on the other hand, its peculiarly sought after by minority around the world including me.

i have no ability to tell you the advantage and substance of MLM in english, even in my mother language chinese, i also fail to explain what the MLM is in my head to others. all in all, theres a beautiful and unparalleled dream in my heart waiting for me to realize. just like you, theres a buddistical world in your heart. we just live in respective "religious beliefs".

oh, its just because i pay much attention to the marriage and family, so i cant marry and have children all along. since without family and children, i must find another form of family for me. so i regard the MLM international family as my new religious belief.

Me: in china, family/ being ma rried is their religion. marriage is a must.
gougeman2003: I do not agree with becoming partners with another country and forcing them to change their culture, but that needs to happen there.
Me: yes, it's the reason i embrace the MLM culture from your country-usa so kindly.
Me: or else, if i don't marry any more, i'll be attacked by the traditional chinese people to death.
gougeman2003: It still might happen though, because we share our freedom of religion with our partner countries.

gougeman2003: There are advantages to being married, but it is normal for people to remain single all of their life.
Me: oh, so wonderful in usa.
Me: yes, everyone knows being married is happy. but if one can't find the mr.right all the life, why do we have to force him/her to marry?
Me: but in china, most of people will force you to marry. or else,they regard you as the monster.

Me: oh, yes, i think so. all in all , before i keep in touch with MLM cultrue from usa, i' ll be nearly killed by the chinese traditional culture .
Me: there're a lot of people laughing at me, because i'm a poor and helpless single woman without any help and support from man.
gougeman2003: I believe that at the end of time, there will be a great big war between good and evil and the outcome of that war will determine the fate of the world.

Me: i don't know if the MLM culture is popular in the usa . but i embrace this kind o f culture very warmly.

Me: oh, but i have no any religion. of course, you can say formerly, the love/marriage /family is my religion.
Me: but now my religion has been broken, because i fail t o marry myself to anyone.
gougeman2003: As long as you believe in god, you will be destined to spend eternity in heaven.
Me: oh, but in most of chinese people, they don't believe in any god. we have no religion education.
gougeman2003: All cultures believe, in one way or another, that there is one supreme being that rules over all.
Me: and i also feel the the eternity is so ridiculous. i just think our fleshy body will be die someday.
gougeman2003: We believe that our body is just our earthly form that will die away. Our true selves never die and will spend eternity in heaven.
Me: oh, the idea is so freshy to me. i don't know. i just think when i die, my spirit will die away.
gougeman2003: Lets change the subject. I can go on for hours about my beliefs.
Me: it's the reason why chinese people always give presents to their parents so much .
Me: they just think parents are very great who can create and bring the new life to their child.
gougeman2003: We are similar. We believe god places our children in the mother's womb, but it is the mother who feeds and raises the child.
Me: oh, no, chinese just regard it's only parents who create the life itself ,not by god .
gougeman2003: Oh ok. I need to get some advise from god and our pastor to help you understand it better, so i need to end this conversation.

There comes a time in every relationship – before AND after marriage – when one of the two people pauses to look within and ask, “Is this what I want?”

Celebrated two weeks after the vernal equinox, Tomb Sweeping Day is one of the few traditional Chinese holidays that follows the solar calendar-- typically falling on April 4, 5, or 6. Its Chinese name "Qing Ming" literally means "Clear Brightness," hinting at its importance as a celebration of Spring. Similar to the spring festivals of other cultures, Tomb Sweeping Day celebrates the rebirth of nature, while marking the beginning of the planting season and other outdoor activities.

Qing Ming Jie in Ancient Times
In ancient times, people celebrated Qing Ming Jie with dancing, singing, picnics, and kite flying. Colored boiled eggs would be broken to symbolize the opening of life. In the capital, the Emperor would plant trees on the palace grounds to celebrate the renewing nature of spring. In the villages, young men and women would court each other.

The Tomb Sweeping Day as Celebrated Today
With the passing of time, this celebration of life became a day to the honor past ancestors. Following folk religion, the Chinese believed that the spirits of deceased ancestors looked after the family. Sacrifices of food and spirit money could keep them happy, and the family would prosper through good harvests and more children.

Today, Chinese visit their family graves to tend to any underbrush that has grown. Weeds are pulled, and dirt swept away, and the family will set out offerings of food and spirit money. I first learned of Clement Stone in 1977, when I attended Interlochen Arts Academy for my senior year of high school. Mr. Stone had given money to the school to fund some scholarships, and I was one of the recipents of his generosity. After I graduated from high school,I decided to write and thank Mr. Stone for enabling me to attend this prestigious academy my last year of high school. I was quite surprised to receive a long handwritten response from him, in which he thanked me for taking the time to write and encouraged me to follow my dreams.
Clement Stone was a self-made man. He was selling newspapers on street corners at the age of 6. By the time he was 13 years old he had his own newsstand. He started selling insurance at the age of 16. He dropped out of school to work full time, finishing high school in night classes. During the Depression, when others believed that insurance would be impossible to sell, Stone saw tremendous possibilities. Soon he signed up salesmen to work for him, eventually building his own company. By 1979,Stone's insurance company exceeded 1 billion dollar in assests.
I recently heard a stor that paralleled Stone's own success story. As the story goes, two shoe salesmen were sent to Africa. The first reported a problem--all of the natives went barefoot--and thus he believed that there was no market in Africa for shoes. The second salesman reported an opportunity--all of the natives went barefoot--and thus he believed that Africa held a tremendous market for shoes.
Problems vs. Opportunities
We live in an unuasual time with corporate downsizing, restructuring, and an increase in global competition. Some view these times as problematic; others see the incredible opportunities created by such change.
In the last decade there has been a huge growth in service-industry businesses.These businesses have been started by individuals with the courage to pursue their dreams.
Yet, for every idea that is implemented, thousands of ideas never get beyond the conceptual stage...from the imagination to a plan of action.
What holds people back from pursuing their dreams and acting on their great ideas? I believe it's fear of failure. Someone once said "there are a lot of ways to become a failure, but never taking a chance is the most successful way." I've also heard it said that "people don't plan to fail...they fail to plan."
Companies these days must be willing and able to change constantly. Sometimes companies change course to survive, and sometimes they do so because an opportunity is too good to resist. I know of a small company that provided a messenger service several years ago. A sudden major increase in corporate use of fax machines nearly put this small company out of business. Fortunately, the owner of the company was clever enough to realize other global corporate trends happening at the same time. As those companies were acquiring fax machines, square footage of office space was decreasing, generating a need for more offsite storage space. The owner shifted from offering a messenger service to providing an offsite records storage service, and soon business was booming once again.
It all comes down to perspective. When there was a down-turn in the economy, some people said to themselves,"This is terrible! With the downturn in the economy, nobody will have a budget for my services." Others thought, "This is great! With the tightening of budgets and the loss of support staff, there's an even greater need for executives and professionals to be more productive and effective, which is percisely what I'm here to help them do!"
As important as positive mental attitude is, Stone says that" there is something more important than believing: Action! The world is full of dreamers, there aren't enough who will move ahead and begin to take concrete steps to fulfill their dreams."

Like so many other girls, my self-confidence growing up was almost nonexistent. I doubted my abilities, had little faith in my potential and questioned my personal worth. If I achieved good grades, I believed that I was just lucky. Although I made friends easily, I worried that once they got to know me,the friendships wouldn't last. And when things went well, I thought I was just in the right place at the right time. I even rejected praise and compliments.
The choices I made reflected my self-image. While in my teens, I attracted a man with the same low self-esteem. In spite of his violent temper and an extremely rocky dating relationship, I decided to marry him. I still remember my dad whispering to me before walking me down the aisle, "It's not too late, Sue. You can change your mind." My family knew what a terrible mistake i was making. Within weeks, I knew it, too.
The physical abuse lasted for several years. I survived serious injuries, was covered with bruises much of the time and had to be hospitalized on numerous occasions. Life became a blur of police sirens, doctors' reports and family court appearances. Yet I continue to go back to the relationship, hoping the things would somehow improve.
After we had our two little girls, there were times when all that got me through the night was having those chubby little arms wrapped around my neck, pudgy cheeks pressed up against mine and precious toddler voices saying, "It's all right, Mommy. Everything will be okay." But I knew that it wasn't going to be okay. I had to make changes--if not for myself, to protect my little girls.
Then something gave me the courage to change. Through work, I was able to attend a series of professional development seminars. In one, a presenter talked about turning dreams into realities. That was hard for me--even to dream about a better future. But something in the message made me listen.
She asked us to consider two powerful questions:"If you could be, do, or have anything in the world, and you knew it would be impossible to fail, what would you choose? And if you could create your ideal life, what would you dare to dream?" In that moment, my life began to change. I began to dream.
I imagined having the courage to move the children into an apartment of our own and start over. I pictured a better life for the girls and me. I dreamed about being an international motivational speaker so that I could inspire people the way the seminar leader had inspired me. I saw myself writing my story to encourage others.
So I went on to create a clear visual picture of my new success. I envisioned myself wearing a red business suit, carrying a leather briefcase and getting on an airplane. This was quite a stretch for me, since at the time I couldn't even afford a suit.
Yet I knew that if I was going to dream, it was important to fill in the details for my five senses. So I went to the leather store and modeled a briefcase in front of the mirror. How would it look and feel? What does leather smell like? I tried on some red suits and even found a picture of a woman in a red suit, carrying a briefcase and getting on a plane. I hung the picture up where I could see it every day. It helped to keep the dream alive.
And soon the changes began. I moved with the children to a small apartment. On only 98 dollars a week, we ate a lot of peanut butter and drove an old car. But for the first time, we felt free and safe. I worked hard at my sales career, all the time focusing on my "impossible dream."
Then one day I answered the phone, and the voice on the other end asked me to speak at the company's upcoming annual conference. I accepted, and my speech was a success. This led to a series of promotions, eventually to national sales trainer. I went on to develop my own speaking company and have traveled to many countries around the world. My "impossible dream" has become a reality.
I believe that all success begins with spreading your W.I.N.G.S.---believing in your worth, trusting your insight, nurturing yourself, having a goal and devising a personal strategy. And then, even impossible dreams become real.

i have read your email carefully. thank you for your advice. however, evidently you haven't really realized MLM is a new developing trend and a profound knowledge yet.
of course,i hate my ex-boyfriend very much. but sometimes i must admit i also made a mistake, i didn't tell the major difference between the chinese society and the western business socity. i didn't have the courage to share the debts in stock market of my ex-boyfriend at that time. for me, these debts was so much like an astronomical figures. i don't know in fact there are always lots of tricks and secrets by means of which the man can earn a pleanty of money very easily.
because the chinese stock system is the new-born thing accompanyed with the economic reform nearly 20 years ago in china. once a time, i always think it was really rather an unbelievable and funny thing for my ex-boyfriend who was just a small common clerk in a remote place in that age to become rich so quickly. since the whole chinese people are still poor, never knowing and hearing the brand-new word of stocks. enough luckily, my ex-boyfriend worked as a small bank clerk. he had the first opportunity to be in touch with the advanced skills of faniancal theories introduced from the western countries. he grasped the great occasion to buy a small amount of stocks initially issued by chinese government using his poor salary. the deng xiaoping--the chinese leader at that time (i think you must have heard of the famous deng xiao ping, the mao zedong's successor) always asserted allowing some people to become well off first. pitifully i was just a childish and innocent student who memorized things such as these politics slogans in our political textbook without any understanding.
however, we,the common chinese people didn't also know how to become rich first. it sounded also like a puzzled riddle. didn't know that my ex-boyfriend was unexpectely the first lucky chinese person via buying the stocks which was the secret of deng xiaoping being rich first. at that time i was still caught up by the traditional chinese beautiful ancient poems of tang and song dynasty, unaware of the silent change of chinese society at all. till entering the society after graduation, i suddenly found my so-called talent for poems and reciting complete useless.
i couldn't use the computer even, and my english was no good, i couln't adapt to the changing chinese society, failing to apply for a proper job by self-selling. it seemed the whole chinese society were actively introducing and learning from the western system, the white-collars who mastered english and computer in foreign enterprise was the most enviable by many young chinese people,apart from the government officials.
so if without the great help of my leader relative, i can't imagine what job i was engaged now. oh, i must tell you maybe it's due to the rich malaysia friend had discovered my kindness and talent for chinese ancient poems online, so he once would like to show the great friendship and love to me.
so he is really my another great noble favor except my relative in my life. in any case, i must appeal to him again. i firmly believe the MLM is a great new tide flow and culture melding the western financial system and chinese traditional confucianism full of love and care. there is a saying, the western postmodernism expresses an intimate attitude towards chinese confucianism. i feel the so-called postmodernism is related to the so-called MLM, in a sense, the postmodernism means MLM culture in itself.

it sounds like you are trying very hard to learn proper english. do not try so hard. most people in the usa do not speak it correctly, and if you come to usa, i would work hard to help you understand what is being said, though it is also very difficult for an american to learn mandarin. but i would be there to help you, however i can, even if it is just to help with customs and gestures and things like that. but remember, sometimes you can try so hard to do something, that you miss it altogether. take a step back and take a breath, then look at it from a different angle and try again. this may be what you need to be able to improve your english. don't try so hard. i have heard a saying that i like, "you cannot see the forest because the trees are in the way". see, sometimes a person searches so hard, that they do not realize that what they seek is right in front of them, for what is a forest but a bunch of trees?

thank you for your wonderful advice about learning english. god knows how lucky and proud i am to have a chance to meet you on line--such an excellent american. you don't know you're really a philosopher.
since i've never been a woman of strong will, many times i also ask myself why i insist on going for in MLM which seems so difficult. in fact now i feel rather depressed, i have emailed to the rich friend of malaysia about winalite, but he didn't give me any reply till now. you see, only my personal strength is absolutely not enough to pursuade him to understand the value of MLM, not to mention investing his money in MLM.
i think it's very necessary to talk about the reason why i'm so determined to follow my so-called MLM through,just i've told you my once biggest idea was to be a chinese announcer/braodcaster, because i'm always confident of my nomal mandarin.( i had a good mandarin trainning from my mother when i was a child. ) however, unfortunately i couldn't find the related job all along. i've really experienced the bitterness to the fullest extent that one doesn't have the stage/chance to give play to his/her talent.
in those youthful years, i always wandered about seeking my ideal job vainly. every time it proved i was a complete failure, i found i was just the most useless person in this world. apart from speaking mandarin fluently, i was good for nothing. my major was marketing, but i had not any interest in any business at that time. because i was such an honest and shy/passive person, i was unsuitable and had no capabilicity to be a sly and trickish tradesman. oh, my god, i really couldn't survive in cold-blooded society if without the support from my parents. until one day, one of my relatives got a promotion in office, (china is an authority-based society instead of business society. most of traditional chinese people pay more attention to the government officers rather than business people.) he couldn't tolerate my father's repeated request for help, resolved to give me a hand. so i got my present job with a fixed monthly salary.
it certainly wouldn't be a proper job for me, but it also couldn't be better for a person who had no any else way to earn money, even a penny like me. in any case i was just the kinsfolk of the top leader of our superior bureau. how strange and fickle the fate was! just a moment ago i was a beggar, a moment later i could become a princess. for a time i really felt rather good for myself. i gave up dreaming to be a broadcaster, because it was the time to find a proper man to marry. i desired to fall in love with somebody.
at this time, i met my ex-boyfriend who was more than me by 7 years. it was truly rare elder single youth above the nomal marriage age in china just as i am now. he told me he had the golden days in his late 20s, he made a big fortune by buying the stocks in a very short time. in order to earn more money,he resigned his job of being an accounting of a countryside bank and began a full-time investment of stocks even future delivery market. ( i always think it's really rather an unbelievable and funny thing for a small common clerk in a remote place in that age in china to have a chance to own lots of money so easily. because most of chinese people have never heard and known what is the stock system which is the new-born thing accompanyed with the economic reform in china.)
however, the extreme happiness ends in sorrow.soon later he has been losing his money all along. he once picked up with a girlfriend who also became rich by stock investment. after the girlfriend knew the truth that in fact he was just a poor man, she refused to keep in touch with him immediately. now he became a poor jobless person, of course he was unwilling to accept his bad fate. he tried his best to learn english so that he could get a high salary in the foreign enterprise in south of china such as big city guangzhou,shenzhen. oh, i can't really make you understand the current complicated chinese society system.
god knows i was also dreaming to go to prosperous south china swarming a lot of foreign enterprises. you know it's just the reason why the china has a nickname of "the world processing plant". my ex-boyfriend always described the brilliant and wonderful blueprint to me. just imagine if we can have an employment opportunity in some big foreign enterprise, we can have a chance to go abroad and travel all over the world someday,besides earning a lot of usa money. oh, the dream is too splendid and attractive for me.
however, the first and vital requirement to enter a foreign enterprise is one must have good english skills both in written and spoken. my ex-boyfriend has possessed oral english and listenning comprehesion much better than me through several years effort of english, so i supported him whold-heartedly for our common dream.
sometimes he doubt if he couldn't succeed for ever, why should we do? he made the request for marriage, however ,i hesitated! not because i didn't love him, i really appreciated his english talent very much. but he told me he also run into debt in stocks market. i hated his so-called stocks, why did he always want to make money in stock at the risk of martgaging his only remaining property--the house which he bought when he was just a young "nouveau riche" and incurring large debts instead of giving up? he was like a puzzled riddle, i couldn't figure out his ridiculous and feeble-minded behavior by any means, however, the fact that he was proficient in english seemed he was just a learned person full of intelligence. oh, i was really confused, being in a mess! i could marry a poor man, but i couldn't stand to marry a person who's always crazy about gambling. in my mind, frying stocks was just similar to grambling at that time. i didn't realized the stocks was an extensive knowledge in the business society just as most of people haven't realized the MLM is also a new developing trend and a profound knowledge and culture.
later he really had his wishes fulfilled to be a white-collar of the foreign enterprise, he despised me like the rubbish at once. i was not his princess any more! i was just an ignorant country bumpkin. at that time, i really became mad to death. while he had gone to foreine country by airplain, i still had to stay the same backward locked place shrouded in a kind of suffocating primitive culture atmosphere. oh, my god, i've never expected he was such a merciless and cruel person without any pity to me. he completely didn't deserve my great love and deep sympathy when he was down and out and deserted by his rich girlfriend. he gave me a heavy lesson and made me experience the ugliness of human nature sufficiently again. for me there was nothing worth going after and recalling in this world. i really tried to kill myself to end up this kind of boundless desperation. oh, there was no dream, no hope,no love, i was in a complete darkness and arid desert.
thanks to godness, the amway company from usa --a famous international enterprise unexpectedly opened its arms to embrace me warmly. so easily i got the great opportunity to put my eyes on internationalization. from then on i really come into a completely different condition and made the acquaitance with many excellent chinese people containing chinese government officials and superior white-collars in foreign enterprise, scholars, the business boss,etc.

A Happy Moment Within A Hopeless Situation

Sometimes one is passing through an utterly sad passage of time due to a business loss , a physical drawback or an emotional setback etc and one feels its the end of the road . Sometimes during such difficult hours some lighter moments , some happy hours come into making . That is when within such hard time one is reminded of some memorable past and this acts as an ingredient enabling one to come out of an otherwise bad situation . This could happen due to ones' own creative ability . The same could also be result of somebody else knowingly or unknowingly creating a situation that helps one out of a hopeless situation temporarily. The whole process involved herein is about a continuity of deferred packets within . It is in sense that atleast a ding dong {sad x happy} situation is created and one keeps going .
Years ago I felt myself in a continuously long time hopeless situation . This being on account of a personal matter I could not speak about it to my associates and aquaintances . Those days I lived away from my kith and kin and soon after in a foreign country all by myself for a long time . Some close relatives / bosom friends , loved ones instinctively familiar with similar real life situations showed concern and provided me / created situations for me so I wouldnt completely succumb to the unavoidable mishap . In this kind of continuous situation there were happy interludes , which sometimes appeared to me as of a completely natural occurance and at times creatively managed by loved ones . My cousins at home ( India ) . In this regard I fondly remember my friends Samina and Vida in London ; Steve Lills and Claudine in NJ America , my most loving friends during my stay abroad . Those of you who read my previous blogs may recollect I made a mention of each of them in separate blogs .
That resulted in improved situation atleast temporarily . So to say, however hopeless a situation , it is not hopeless enough that one should throw all hope and constantly ponder over sadness only .
3rd October 2008 :
Within this situation one gloomy day , my yuwie site open and I sat for hours doing nothing . I felt really hopeless . In an instance I recieved a picture comment from a new yuwie aquaintance , which spelt this :
There are no short cuts to happiness and dancing is one of them . Have you danced lately ? A peaceful day / evening to you !

May be generally there are no short cuts to happiness and dancing is one of them yet I do believe in axceptions . There is a thing like an unknown inborn talent that comes to light unwarranted and at times almost instantly . Makes sense to me that dancing is possible the short way and dancing definitely creates happiness . Now I am not a formally trained dancer .
The question within comment was , have you danced lately !
Well years ago I had danced at my nieces' ring ceremony , that was my first time . Amongst several regular dancers once I started dancing I didnt stop and was instantly acclaimed 'Masstt dancer' { dancer in tone } . Since then it is a routine . I love my traditional punjabi bhangra dancing style so too I dance to whatever fast music ...and I really enjoy dancing .

As we wrote in an e-mail on Sept. 30, AOL® Journals will permanently shut down on Oct. 31. It's never an easy decision to shut down a feature, especially one like AOL Journals that some of our members have used for a long time. But with a decline in Journals usage, we have to look carefully at all of AOL's features to make sure we're providing as much value to our members as possible.
Though we know this might be an inconvenience, the good news is that we've partnered with Blogger.com to provide a smooth transition for your journal. Blogger is a free service from Google that makes it easy to share your thoughts with friends and the world. Blogger supports most of the features you've come to expect from AOL Journals, and it's easy to get started. AOL hometown and Journal are Closing

This week, AOL sent out a message to all of the members of their Hometown service, which was a free web host, and AOL journal, which was a free blog service. The message read as follows:
“Dear AOL Hometown/FTP user,  We’re sorry to inform you that on Oct. 31, 2008, AOL Hometown and FTP will be shut down permanently. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.  Though you will be able to modify your Hometown site and access FTP until this date, we urge you to save your AOL Hometown/FTP content immediately, and consider other options for hosting your site.
“  In the meantime, please bookmark the People Connection Blog, where you can find out more about AOL Hometown/FTP. You can also subscribe to the People Connection Blog RSS feed to stay informed about any changes. We’ll be updating the People Connection Blog often, so please check it regularly.  Thank you for your patience and understanding as we make this transition. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.  ”
This may cause a few problems for a few people, as I’m sure many people will have a lot of problems moving their website elsewhere. I also noticed that AOL did not do a very good job of telling people this, as I only found it by accident. Also, there are many people in many different places, such as yahoo answers that are somewhat confused on whether it is happening or not. The most official announcement I could find was the one on the People Connection Blog: http://www.peopleconnectionblog.com/ Personally, I’m not a big fan of AOL, and do not use their services, but I know a good number of people that do, and I know that this will cause problems for them.

We'll I'd like to put some facts here for you all to decide for yourself and form your own opinion. Karl Heinrich Marx (May 5, 1818–March 14, 1883) was a German-Jewish [1] philosopher, political economist, sociologist, humanist, political theorist, revolutionary, and communist icon.
Marx's approach to history and politics is indicated by the opening line of the first chapter of The Communist Manifesto (1848): “The history of all hitherto existing society is the history of class struggles”. Marx argued that capitalism, like previous socioeconomic systems, will produce internal tensions which will lead to its destruction.[2] Just as capitalism replaced feudalism, capitalism itself will be displaced by communism, a classless society which emerges after a transitional period—socialism—in which the state would be nothing else but the revolutionary dictatorship of the proletariat.[3][4][5]
On the one hand, Marx argued for a systemic understanding of socioeconomic change. On this model, it is the structural contradictions within capitalism which necessitate its end, giving way to communism:

We call communism the real movement which abolishes the present state of things. The conditions of this movement result from the premises now in existence." (from The German Ideology)

I am Savinder Kaur Dhadli who is born and brought up in Punjab, India where all my education took place too.
By profession I am a qualified science school teacher in UK while in India I was a college lecturer teaching both science to higher secondary school children as well as teaching Geography to college students .But my best qualification was science.(Physics, Chemistry, Biology)
In UK I had done all sorts of things ranging from my employment in the civil service as well as to be newspaper proprietress when I was also sub postmistress too.
But my biggest dream is to have a finest Indian restaurant and feed the best of Indian food to the British people.
So far that dream had not as yet come true as I am very poor person.
I came to UK in 1967 to join my handsome husband who loved Indian curries and thus needed an Indian wife too when the first thing that struck me was that I was doomed to eating fast food such as fish and chips, fish fingers, burgers, shepherd's pie , lamb chops etc etc.
I was bored to hell.
I wanted my own Indian food and it was not available to me unless I go out far away to get what I want in Indian restaurants.
I was also dogged with a very bad health such as e.g. I was suffering from extreme amount of joint pains and it was due to undiagnosed tuberculosis that stayed undiagnosed right up to mid 1980.
But that is National Health Service for you.
My main aim here is to build your health to a point that you too will have a massive energy to put up with any illness that come your way as the food is what makes our body and give us energy too to cope with our enemy whether the enemy is with in our body or outside our bodies.
Many people do think that Indian food is very fattening and hot.
But you do not have to add too much fat.
Try learning with more fat and then reduce the fat content once you had mastered the total art of Indian cookery.
My main aim is to pass on our Indian taste to the people of West so that people from the West do come to know about our high origin, about our rich Indian culture and our rich character and our richness in taste too.
I want to inform the people of the West that Indian people are also the best alike our food is ranging as the best.
I was bored without my Indian food when I came to UK but now our Indian traders had brought whole of India into UK and we get everything that we want in UK too.
I was also bored watching clothes worn by the English people.
The clothes looked as if these were purchased from the same shop for everyone.
I was bored with my own clothes as I never got any admirer to admire my clothes.
The facts are that no one knew if my clothes were expensive or just nothing.
It needed Indians to admire my clothes as only the Indian can tell if my sari or Punjabi dress was expensive or nothing in values.
I was thus bored to hell while I kept all my fineries well locked up until an admirer comes along.
I had not changed since I came to UK.
I still put on my own Indian clothes in place of blue jeans or skirts that bored me to death even when I looked at that fabric.
No thanks.
I must put on silks and glamorous clothes as that is what I am born into and brought up to what I am.
It do not cost me a fortune to do fashion as I can stitch my clothes myself, design myself or take fabric to India and have my clothes stitched there where each pound in my pocket is worth at least 80 Rupees while the lab our is cheap too at the same time.
Please enjoy Indian food and add colour on your table as well as wear my colourful clothes as it do not cost too much to have Indian food at home as well to purchase some glamorous fabric to make your evening.
I can also stitch a range of your clothes for you too.(Health permitting)

Legislative Alert – VA Budget Fueled by FY 07 Standards, while FY 2008 Spending Bill Remains in Limbo
Last month, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) entered the new fiscal year (2008) much like it did in FY 2007, operating on continuing resolutions (CR). The American Legion was glad to see the significant increases in the VA FY 2008 budget and the recent Conference Report for a $2.9 billion increase for VA medical care. We have made significant progress; however, the battle still continues!
The federal government is operating on a continuing resolution, Public Law (PL) 110-92, which continues funding for federal operations at FY 2007 amounts. This CR is due to expire on November 16. The DoD spending bill, PL 110-116, contains a CR to keep the federal government functioning until December 14.
We must not allow last year’s budget standoff to be repeated, with final FY 2007 VA funding enacted in February 2007 – four months into the fiscal year! To continue to fund at FY 2007 levels holds the Department of Veterans Affairs back from its full mission to serve veterans of past conflicts, as well as the newest veterans of the Global War on Terrorism.
Time is of the essence! The American Legion needs you to contact your Members of Congress. Let them know that it is critical that they pass the VA Budget so the VA Secretary can successfully implement the programs with adequate funding, which are crucial to the veterans’ community. Encourage your Post leadership and other Legionnaires to voice their support, as well.

Don't you want to be the child of a king?? More than the physical things that come along with having the King for your Heavenly Father, is the assurance of where you will spend eternity and the awesome love of the Father. You may be saying, " Yeah well, I dont believe in God." And if I'm wrong about the Bible, Heaven and Hell and Jesus, well, then you're ok. But If I'm right..... meaning that you would be wrong..... what then??

Do you value your life and yourself so little that it's ok to you if you spend eternity in darkness and fire? Do you really want to chance that? I'm not asking for you to suddenly become a perfect Christian, that's unrealistic. What I am asking is if you would be willing to be born again, born of the spirit, born anew, allowing old things to pass away. The Word also tells us that if we believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died on the cross for our sins and rose again, conquering satan, then we shall be saved. If you are ready to take this step today, I have included a prayer that you can pray.

" Dear God, I believe, that Jesus is your son. I believe that He died for me on the cross and that he rose again. I thank you Lord, for your mercy and your grace. I thank you Jesus for what you have done for me. You died for me, and now I will live for you. I am a child of the King, a unique and wonderful creation of the perfect creator and I thank you, Lord."

小猫： （修罗的公主）：现代社会步伐的加快，以及生活多样化复杂化的现状，导致人们对生活以及生命的意义缺乏了一定的坚定性。而这些所谓的“文化”，就带着这样的华丽的文化“外衣”，开始悄悄的将自己迫切需要的信仰化洗脑工程在此混乱中趁虚而入。于是就有了这样一大批一大批所谓的“安利人”等等的出现……

Else where I always read her Blogs ,each one was so straightforwardly put , meaningful , thoughtful and fascinating . I was neither among her friends nor did I request her for same ..... I remained aloof, never commented on any though normally I dont remain silent to something expressed so beautyfully .One day................

The story is laid in North India, which is the most fruitful soil for sublime love stories of all the lands in the world. It was in a country of sunshine and lakes and rich forests and hills and fertile valleys; and far away the great mountains hung in the sky, peaks, crests, and ridges of inaccessible and eternal snow. There was a young prince, lord of all the land; and he found a maiden of indescribable beauty and delightfulness and he made her his queen and laid his heart at her feet. Love was theirs, full of joys and sweetness, full of hope, exquisite, brave and marvellous love, beyond anything you have ever dreamt of love. It was theirs for a year and a part of a year; and then suddenly, because of some venomous sting that came to her in a thicket, she died.
She died and for a while the prince was utterly prostrated. He was silent and motionless with grief. They feared he might kill himself, and he had neither sons nor brothers to succeed him. For two days and nights he lay upon his face, fasting, across the foot of the couch which bore her calm and lovely body. Then he arose and ate, and went about very quietly like one who has taken a great resolution. He caused her body to be put in a coffin of lead mixed with silver, and for that he had an outer coffin made of the most precious and scented woods wrought with gold, and about that there was to be a sarcophagus of alabaster, inlaid with precious stones. And while these things were being done he spent his time for the most part by the pools and in the garden-houses and pavilions and groves and in those chambers in the palace where they two had been most together, brooding upon her loveliness. He did not rend his garments nor defile himself with ashes and sackcloth as the custom was, for his love was too great for such extravagances. At last he came forth again among his councillors and before the people, and told them what he had a mind to do.
He said he could never more touch woman, he could never more think of them, and so he would find a seemly youth to adopt for his heir and train him to his task, and that he would do his princely duties as became him; but that for the rest of it, he would give himself with all his power and all his strength and all his wealth, all that he could command, to make a monument worthy of his incomparable, dear, lost mistress. A building it should be of perfect grace and beauty, more marvellous than any other building had ever been or could ever be, so that to the end of time it should be a wonder, and men would treasure it and speak of it and desire to see it and come from all the lands of the earth to visit and recall the name and the memory of his queen. And this building he said was to be called the Pearl of Love.
And this his councillors and people permitted him to do, and so he did.
Year followed year and all the years he devoted himself to building and adorning the Pearl of Love. A great foundation was hewn out of the living rock in a place whence one seemed to be looking at the snowy wilderness of the great mountain across the valley of the world. Villages and hills there were, a winding river, and very far away three great cities. Here they put the sarcophagus of alabaster beneath a pavilion of cunning workmanship; and about it there were set pillars of strange and lovely stone and wrought and fretted walls, and a great casket of masonry bearing a dome and pinnacles and cupolas, as exquisite as a jewel. At first the design of the Pearl of Love was less bold and subtle than it became later. At first it was smaller and more wrought and encrusted; there were many pierced screens and delicate clusters of rosy-hued pillars, and the sarcophagus lay like a child that sleeps among flowers. The first dome was covered with green tiles, framed and held together by silver, but this was taken away again because it seemed close, because it did not soar grandly enough for the broadening imagination of the prince.
For by this time he was no longer the graceful youth who had loved the girl queen. He was now a man, grave and intent, wholly set upon the building of the Pearl of Love. With every year of effort he had learnt new possibilities in arch and wall and buttress; he had acquired greater power over the material he had to use and he had learnt of a hundred stones and hues and effects that he could never have thought of in the beginning. His sense of colour had grown finer and colder; he cared no more for the enamelled gold-lined brightness that had pleased him first, the brightness of an illuminated missal; he sought now for blue colourings like the sky and for the subtle hues of great distances, for recondite shadows and sudden broad floods of purple opalescence and for grandeur and space. He wearied altogether of carvings and pictures and inlaid ornamentation and all the little careful work of men. "Those were pretty things," he said of his earlier decorations; and had them put aside into subordinate buildings where they would not hamper his main design. Greater and greater grew his artistry. With awe and amazement people saw the Pearl of Love sweeping up from its first beginnings to a superhuman breadth and height and magnificence. They did not know clearly what they had expected, but never had they expected so sublime a thing as this. "Wonderful are the miracles," they whispered, "that love can do," and all the women in the world, whatever other loves they had, loved the prince for the splendour of his devotion.
Through the middle of the building ran a great aisle, a vista, that the prince came to care for more and more. From the inner entrance of the building he looked along the length of an immense pillared gallery and across the central area from which the rose-hued columns had long since vanished, over the top of the pavilion under which lay the sarcophagus, through a marvellously designed opening, to the snowy wildernesses of the great mountain, the lord of all mountains, two hundred miles away. The pillars and arches and buttresses and galleries soared and floated on either side, perfect yet unobtrusive, like great archangels waiting in the shadows about the presence of God. When men saw that austere beauty for the first time they were exalted, and then they shivered and their hearts bowed down. Very often would the prince come to stand there and look at that vista, deeply moved and not yet fully satisfied. The Pearl of Love had still something for him to do, he felt, before his task was done. Always he would order some little alteration to be made or some recent alterations to be put back again. And one day he said that the sarcophagus would be clearer and simpler without the pavilion; and after regarding it very steadfastly for a long time, he had the pavilion dismantled and removed.
The next day he came and said nothing, and the next day and the next. Then for two days he stayed away altogether. Then he returned, bringing with him an architect and two master craftsmen and a small retinue.
All looked, standing together silently in a little group, amidst the serene vastness of their achievement. No trace of toil remained in its perfection. It was as if the God of nature's beauty had taken over their offspring to himself.
Only one thing there was to mar the absolute harmony. There was a certain disproportion about the sarcophagus. It had never been enlarged, and indeed how could it have been enlarged since the early days. It challenged the eye; it nicked the streaming lines. In that sarcophagus was the casket of lead and silver, and in the casket of lead and silver was the queen, the dear immortal cause of all this beauty. But now that sarcophagus seemed no more than a little dark oblong that lay incongruously in the great vista of the Pearl of Love. It was as if someone had dropped a small valise upon the crystal sea of heaven.
Long the prince mused, but no one knew the thoughts that passed through his mind.
At last he spoke. He pointed.
"Take that thing away," he said.
